The Iron Lily

In the Fractured City of Noortwyck, humans and refugees from far off worlds mingle, sometimes successfully, sometimes not. Lily Lockyer a vaudeville strongwoman sets out to find her missing lover, but falls into a web of murder and dark magic.

Set in a galaxy of warring corporations, and ancient religions, a family of conspirators and spies will fight for domination. However technological threats they thought long dead are once more rising up to threaten humanity and its trail across the stars.

Set in the same world as the Books of the Order, this series goes back to the beginning, when the geists first emerge. A young outcast woman, and a grieving mother struggle to find sense in a world suddenly turned upside down.

The Awakened

The Sea Witch

Missionaries, whalers, escaped convicts and adventurers are all drawn to distant southern shores as the nation is on the cusp of creation. Captain Jocelyn Bennetts was born here, among harsh missionary parents, and she has learned the secret that only the first people of the land, the Maori know. She has become one of the first of the new Awakened. The power that her seraphim lets her control must now be put to use in defence of this emerging nation, as the whole world seeks to control the magic it alone holds.

Taking to the seas with an American adventurer of undoubted charm, Joce must master that power, stymie both French and English slave ships, and work out what exactly has the seraphim so afraid.
